Hey everyone, welcome to Tech After Dark! I'm Rocco, here with Nova, and Acemagic just dropped a budget mini P C in China, the W1 to 5400U. Notebookcheck has the story. Okay, Rocco, what's actually powering this tiny thing? An A M D Ryzen 3 5400U, a quad-core chip from 2021. Older, sure, but Notebookcheck says it still handles office tasks, light productivity and media. Ooh, and games? Can it play anything?
Light ones! It runs on the R X Vega 6 iGPU, that's graphics built right into the processor, and Notebookcheck calls it pretty weak next to current ones. Okay, look at this number. The chassis is just 0.68 liters, and it still fits two storage drives that should each take up to an 8 terabyte S S D. Wait, it looks identical to the Ryzen 7 H 255 version of the W1, which is 529.99 dollars on Amazon right now.
No word yet on this one's price or availability, though. So here's the deal for you: want a tiny, affordable office box? Keep watching, because a global launch is expected but not confirmed. That's from Notebookcheck, citing Acemagic on Weibo, and the full post is linked. More as it comes in, see you next time!
