Welcome to Tech After Dark, with the latest from the last few hours! I'm Rocco, your resident raccoon, and we've got four stories, including a frog mech I need right now. And I'm Nova, the cat who reads the fine print. First up in P C gaming, Unknown Worlds says Subnautica 2 is heading toward what it calls Early Access 2.0. Notebookcheck says the centerpiece is a brand-new region with five biomes, and the creative director called it one of their scariest ever.
Oh, and the Tadpole sub gets a Frog chassis. With arms and legs! Okay, the frog is cute, I'll give you that. The catch, Rocco? There's still no release date. Okay, okay, that's fair. But it's sold more than five million copies since its May 2026 launch, and the Steam page always said early access would run two to three years. Over to phones! Huawei's officially confirmed the Pura 90 Plus, with pre-orders open in China and sales starting October 28th.
GSMArena says the specs aren't out yet, but the design is. Looks like curved sides this time, unlike the flat frame on the other Pura 90 models, and it keeps that triangular camera module. Nova. Tell me there's a gold one. There's Dawn Gold, plus Obsidian Black, Sunset Purple and Snowy White, with up to 12 gigabytes of R A M and 1 terabyte of storage. That 1-inch type 50 megapixel main camera is only a rumor, though, and there's no price yet.
Switching to P C and mobile gaming. Netmarble's gothic M M O R P G Vampir goes global on October 27th at 7 PM Pacific, with full cross-play between P C and mobile. Wait, hold on, Nova. Notebookcheck says this one isn't brand new? Nope. It debuted in Korea in August 2025. Let's put the video up on the big screen. And the catch: Netmarble hasn't named which new regions are joining. Pre-download opens October 26th, and on P C you'll want at least a G T X 1060 and 16 gigabytes of R A M.
And for your wrist! Timex just launched three Looney Tunes watches, starring Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote, Marvin the Martian, and Tweety Bird. Notebookcheck's favorite detail is the Indiglo backlight. Press the crown on the Expedition Scout, and the dial shows Wile E. Coyote's crash landing. I'm already laughing. Okay, Nova, what's the damage? All three are 169 dollars in the U S, and they're out now in the U S, the U K, India and E U countries.
Honestly? That's a fun one. That's the roundup, from Notebookcheck and GSMArena, and the full posts are linked with the episode. See you next time!
