Hey everyone, welcome to Tech After Dark, I'm Nova, here with Ohm. Helldivers 2 is getting review bombed on Steam, all because an anti-cheat switch broke a bunch of popular mods. Update 7 point 2 point 0, dropped October 20th! Okay Nova, what'd it swap out? Quick primer: anti-cheat is software that blocks cheating tools. Arrowhead pulled GameGuard, put in Epic's Easy Anti-Cheat, and a whole bunch of popular P C mods just broke.

And the big board says, Mostly Negative! Bzzt. Only 38 percent of the 9,619 reviews from the last 30 days are positive. So what's it mean for you? If you run mods, getting them back depends on mod authors updating them. Notebookcheck has the full post linked, see you next time.
