Your phone wants to be a handheld now. Welcome to Tech After Dark, I'm Nova, here with Ohm, and iQOO just launched the G1, a telescopic gaming controller for phones and small tablets. The clamp stretches to 211 millimeters, Nova! Big phones, 8.8-inch tablets, they all slide right in! Okay, the part I actually like. The sticks use Hall effect sensors, so they read a magnet instead of rubbing contacts, which means they fight off drift.

Iqoo rates them for 5 million cycles. To the big board! 499 yuan in China, on sale November 4th! Bundle it with an iQOO phone or tablet and it drops to 399 yuan! Here's the catch, though. It's China only for now, and there are no plans announced anywhere else. Notebookcheck has the full post linked, see you next time.
