Welcome to Tech After Dark! I'm Nova, here with Rocco, and Xiaomi just launched the Smart 4G Camera 3. It's a home security camera that skips Wi-Fi entirely. No Wi-Fi? Okay, so Notebookcheck says two S I M cards come built in, from China Telecom and China Unicom, with free 4G data for the Mijia app. Free! And it hops to whichever network's stronger, all on its own. Plus what Xiaomi calls 3K recording, and a full 360 degree spin.

Okay, one catch. Xiaomi hasn't said how long the free data lasts. Crowdfunding in China opens November 4th at 199 yuan. And suggested retail after that? 269 yuan. The full Notebookcheck post is linked. See you next time!
