Whoa, fresh off the feeds, welcome to Tech After Dark! I'm Rocco, here with Hopper, and Apple just unveiled an oled MacBook Pro with touch, a first for the Mac. Oh, I'm glowing already. Apple says the new proled X D R Display is a tandem oled panel, up to 2,000 nits peak brightness, in 14 and 16 inch sizes. Thanks, Hopper. Okay, the part my wallet's scared of: the 14-inch with M5 Pro starts at 2,899 dollars, and the 16-inch with M5 Pro at 3,399 dollars.

Pre-orders open today, deliveries from November 6th. My take? If testers confirm that brightness, this could be the laptop screen to beat. That's from Apple, The Verge, TechPowerUp and Notebookcheck, with more in the full posts linked. More as it comes in, see you next time!
