Whoa. A metal keyboard where the switches glow right through? Give it. Give it now. Pretty, sure. But every speed number on it comes straight from A T K. It's the A T K RS6 V2: a sixty-five percent aluminium Hall effect gaming keyboard for competitive P C gamers. Hundred and ten at launch. Tech After Dark read three launch reports, zero hands-ons. Zero hands touched. Three new things! One: gasket mount.

The first RS6 bolted its guts straight to the case. The V2 floats them on a cushion with five padding layers. A T K says it sounds better. Two: every key lights up both the top labels and the side labels. Double glow! Top and bottom lights adjust separately. Your keycaps get mood lighting. Three: new see-through Halo switches with a one-piece light guide. It glows through the switches! Lights and sensors also get separate power.

Pause Hardware calls the benefit theoretical. Okay, but what does that mean for me? Is it fast? It reports to your P C eight thousand times a second. Almost no wait. And I pick how far a key goes down before it counts? Anywhere from a thousandth of a millimetre to three point three. Hair-trigger for shooters, deeper for typing. Plus Rapid Trigger! Keys reset the instant you start lifting. Strafe, strafe, strafe!

Switches need just thirty-three grams of force. Less tired fingers after a long night of losing. Hey! Small enough for my mouse, still has arrow keys, and aluminium! Shiny and practical. TechPowerUp calls it aesthetics and quality of life updates. A glow-up, not a new keyboard. A glow-up! I love a glow-up. Pause Hardware notes the point two three millisecond latency is only A T K's own figure. XiaomiToday says point two eight.

Nobody's measured it yet. Oh no. Okay, okay, that's fair. One-oh-nine ninety-eight intro deal on A T K's store, since November fifth. Regular price: one thirty-nine ninety-eight. Wait, XiaomiToday says ninety-nine ninety-eight! Even cheaper! Nova's Catch: reports disagree on the deal, and there's no confirmed European price yet. Check A T K's site first. Rivals! The original RS6: same regular price, stiffer tray mount, no double glow.

Sold out. The RS6 Ultra Aspas edition? About forty-two dollars more. And the Wooting sixty H E plus? Tom's Guide says still the king of competitive keyboards. Also about sixty-four dollars more. Verdict! Seven point two from me. Metal, glowing, and about a hundred and ten bucks! Five point eight. Wait for real tests; right now the speed is just A T K talking. That's a six point five After Dark Score: third in P C parts, between the health monitor and R O G N U C.

Verdict: wait. And Rocco, step away from the checkout button. I'm just looking. For science. See you next time!
