Fresh off the feeds, this is Tech After Dark, I'm Rocco with Glitch! Notebookcheck's review just caught a speaker downgrade on Xiaomi's new Pad 9 tablet. A downgrade, Glitch! Yep. Their pink noise tests show less bass than the Xiaomi Pad 8, and the upper treble drops off way more sharply. Sounds thinner up top, basically. Ouch. And max volume slipped from 86.9 to 85.1 decibels, though Notebookcheck says that's not dramatic.

Okay, Glitch, what else jumped out? Prices start at 525 dollars, and the review found a brighter display and a bigger battery than the Pad 8.
