Welcome to Tech After Dark, I'm Rocco! Two fresh stories from the last few hours, and we're leading with a Casio. With sapphire crystal! And I'm Nova, I read the fine print. First up in watches: Casio's new M T S-120, a minimalist analog that showed up on Casio's own site. Sapphire on a Casio! Okay, how big is it, Nova? 45 by 39 millimeters, and 8.3 millimeters thin, so it'll slide under a cuff. 103 grams with the steel bracelet, and the dial comes in black, blue, green or silver.
Okay. Accuracy, battery, price. Go! Within 20 seconds a month, and about three years per battery. Casio's Thailand store lists it at 3,900 baht, about 115 dollars, but there's no launch date announced anywhere. Ugh, fine. Over in P C land, Maxtang's new NXALN51 is a fanless mini P C. Nova, what's the hook? Rocco, it's four 2.5G Ethernet ports crammed into a box 12.7 centimeters square and 4.35 centimeters tall.
Basically a coaster with a network closet inside. Four Ethernet ports! What's powering it? Intel's N100 or N150, four cores at 6 watts. Notebookcheck says A M D's Ryzen A I 5 430 is over 120 percent faster. Okay, okay, that's fair. But no fan means dead silent, right? And the price? Silent, yes, and up to 16 gigabytes of DDR4. Price isn't announced. Notebookcheck's pick if you don't need the networking is the MelE X1, 550 dollars on Amazon.
Both stories came from Notebookcheck, and the full posts are linked with this episode. See you next time!
