Fresh off the feeds, it's Tech After Dark, I'm Rocco, here with Nova. Icy Dock just announced the ExpressSlot Elite, an adapter that crams two E1.S S S Ds into one PCIe slot! Crams is generous. TechPowerUp says each of the two NVMe drives gets its own four lanes of PCIe 5.0, at up to 128 gigabits per second. Think two fire hoses, not one shared garden hose. Okay, so what does my system need to run it?

A PCIe slot with eight or sixteen lanes that supports bifurcation, meaning the slot can split itself up for each drive. Plus a built-in fan and a five-year limited warranty. No price or release date yet, so no borrowing it. My take? This one's built for servers, workstations and edge systems. That's TechPowerUp, the full post is linked, see you next time.
