Fresh off the feeds, it's Tech After Dark! I'm Nova, and this is Ohm, our retro spec robot. Engadget just got its paws on the 2026 Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition. Happy to be here, Nova! And on the big board, 250 dollars! Now with an aluminum back, shinier than my old beige casing ever was. Biggest change, says Engadget? Pogo pins. They replace wireless charging, and they're built for an 80 dollar Page Turn Cover with actual physical buttons.

Amazon claims up to 12 weeks of battery on one charge! But, bzzt, Engadget only had it two weeks, so they couldn't test that. So Engadget's verdict? The regular 200 dollar Paperwhite is still a great pick for less. Full Engadget review is linked. See you next time!
