Welcome to Tech After Dark, with the latest from the last few hours! I'm Nova, the cat who reads the fine print, and I'm buzzing. Five stories, including a 300 hertz gaming monitor for 799 yuan. And I'm Rocco, the raccoon keeping her honest. First up, Acemagic just dropped the W1 to 5400U in China, a mini P C with an A M D Ryzen 3 5400U inside. Rocco, look at this little box! A zero point six eight liter chassis that hangs on the back of a monitor, and it still crams in a pile of U S B ports, hdmi, DisplayPort and Ethernet.
Easy, Nova, the chip's a relatively old entry-level one. Notebookcheck pegs it for light work, media and office stuff, and it starts at 1,599 yuan with 8 gigabytes of R A M and a 256 gigabyte S S D. Fair. But it runs three displays, all at 4K and 60 hertz. For a tiny office box? I'm into it. Over to phones. Notebookcheck reviewed the cameras on the Motorola Edge 70 Max, a phone that skips the whole stack of extra lenses.
And the main camera carries it! It's a 50 megapixel Sony Lytia 710 sensor, daylight shots come out very sharp, and the testers say it can hang with significantly more expensive phones. Here's the catch, though. No telephoto camera, so zoom is all digital, and the review was not kind to the twenty times zoom shots. Okay, that's fair. Still, for a phone aimed at the 650 to 900 dollar range, 4K video at 60 frames per second plus a good selfie camera?
Solid package. Back to P C land! Xiaomi just launched the Redmi G25 2027 in China, a gaming monitor with a 300 hertz refresh rate for 799 yuan. Three hundred hertz means the screen redraws 300 times a second, with a 1 millisecond response. Flip side, Nova: it's a 24.5 inch Fast I P S panel at 1920 by 1080. Sure, but check this, Rocco. Xiaomi claims 93 percent D C I-P3 and 100 percent sRGB coverage, plus DisplayHDR 400 and FreeSync Premium.
For about 120 dollars? Come on! Quick reality check on the rollout. Xiaomi's only expected to bring it outside China later in 2026, so nothing's locked in yet. Now, charging gear! Oppo launched a 10,000 milliamp hour power bank in India, with a built-in braided U S B-C cable that doubles as a carrying loop. Okay, fine print time. Its rated capacity is 5,600 milliamp hours at 5 volts and 3 amps, and Oppo says about two iPhone 16 charges, though results may vary.
Fair, and it still charges three devices at once at up to 22.5 watts. And the price? 2,199 rupees, with sales starting October 29th. Oppo hasn't confirmed any other markets, though. So for now, it's India, in black. One more on that same Oppo power bank, because Notebookcheck filed a second post on it. It weighs about 185 grams, and Oppo says it meets airline carry-on rules. Plus a 37 watt hour energy rating.
And heads up, Xiaomi's listed a 10,000 milliamp hour power bank with a built-in cable too, also up to 22.5 watts. That's the latest. All five stories come from Notebookcheck, and the full posts are linked with the episode. Meanwhile, I'm still trying to borrow that monitor. See you next time!
