A brand-new flip phone, with a twist. Hey everyone, welcome to Tech After Dark, I'm Nova, here with Ohm. H M D just introduced the Nokia 2360 Flip, a feature phone built for elderly users and kids. A flip phone! Thanks, Nova. Notebookcheck says relatives can run it from afar with H M D's Family Assist app, and it all works over plain text messages. No data plan needed, just like my dial-up days! Okay, Ohm.

What's the catch the article flags? Bzzt. It only does 2G networks, with no 4G L T E at all. So anywhere carriers already shut 2G down, this thing could be a very nice paperweight. H M D hasn't announced pricing or availability yet, so more as it comes in. The full Notebookcheck story is linked. See you next time.
