Whoa, welcome to Tech After Dark, with the latest from the last few hours! Two stories, and one's a phone with a 10,000 milliamp hour battery. With me, Nova, the cat who reads fine print for fun, and Hopper, our moth who's never met a screen she didn't love. Hey, Rocco. I've already read both spec sheets, so you can calm down. Hi everyone! Rocco, one of these is a laser projector, so I'm basically glowing already.

Phones first! Vivo just launched the Y600 in China, a budget 5G phone with a 10,000 milliamp hour battery. Nova, how long does that thing actually last? Vivo says up to 28 hours of video playback, in its own lab tests. Charging's 44 watts wired, but Notebookcheck points out there's no wireless charging. Ooh, and look at it in Diamond Gold! The screen's a 6.83 inch amoled at 120 hertz, so scrolling feels smooth, and Vivo advertises 2,000 nits of peak brightness.

That's Vivo's number, Hopper, not a test. Now, the price: the base model with 6 gigabytes of R A M and 128 gigabytes of storage is 1,999 yuan, and sales start October 30th. Okay, home theater! Xgimi launched the RS30 Pro High Brightness Edition in China, a 4K laser projector. Hopper, you're practically buzzing. Because it's rated at 4,500 cvia lumens, Rocco! The standard RS30 Pro from April was 3,200, so Notebookcheck says that's roughly 40 percent brighter.

It even out-rates the RS30 Pro Max, a tier higher, at 4,100. But it's 7,299 yuan, and Xgimi hasn't said if it'll be sold outside China, so don't get attached. Too late, I'm attached! Gamers get 4K at 120 hertz over hdmi 2.1, plus V R R and A M D FreeSync Premium. I'm clearing a wall right now. And that's the roundup! Both stories come from Notebookcheck, and the full posts are linked with the episode.

Thanks, Nova and Hopper. See you next time, everyone!
